On Wednesday, February 16 a capacity crowd filled the Junior League ballroom to recognize the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce’s (GHWCC) outstanding volunteers and witness the swearing-in of GHWCC’s 2022-23 chair and board by Mayor Sylvester Turner.

The GHWCC’s Annual Meeting, Awards Luncheon and Board Induction was held at the Junior League of Houston and honored dedicated volunteers, leaders, and friends who made 2021 a tremendous success and supported GHWCC’s mission of empowering women and girls to reach new heights. At the event Mayor Sylvester Turner inducted GHWCC’s 2022 Board of Directors, thanked 2021 Board Chair Susan Dray for her leadership, and welcomed 2022 Board Chair Janette Marx.

As mentioned in our previous interview with GHWCC, “The GHWCC hosts five signature events each year that recognize women who are leading in their respective fields, who support gender diversity and who are making a positive difference in our community.  They are the GHWCC Annual Meeting and Awards, The Greater Houston Conference for Women, Women in the Fast Lane of STEAM Luncheon and Style Show, The Woodlands North Houston Conference for Women and the Greater Houston Hall of Fame Gala,” said Suzan Deison, CEO/President/Founder of Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
