Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting, Awards Luncheon and Volunteer of the Year

On Wednesday, February 16 a capacity crowd filled the Junior League ballroom to recognize the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce’s (GHWCC) outstanding volunteers and witness the swearing-in of GHWCC’s 2022-23 chair and board by Mayor Sylvester Turner.

TheGHWCC’s Annual Meeting, Awards Luncheon and Board Induction was held at the Junior League of Houston and honored dedicated volunteers, leaders, and friends who made 2021 a tremendous success and supported GHWCC’s mission of empowering women and girls to reach new heights. At the eventMayor Sylvester Turner inductedGHWCC’s 2022 Board of Directors, thanked 2021 Board Chair Susan Dray for her leadership, and welcomed 2022 Board Chair Janette Marx.

As mentioned in our previous interview with GHWCC, “The GHWCC hosts five signature events each year that recognize women who are leading in their respective fields, who support gender diversity and who are making a positive difference in our community.  They are the GHWCC Annual Meeting and Awards, The Greater Houston Conference for Women, Women in the Fast Lane of STEAM Luncheon and Style Show, The Woodlands North Houston Conference for Women and the Greater Houston Hall of Fame Gala,” said Suzan Deison, CEO/President/Founder of Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

Natalie Saikowski Goertz,GHWCC Volunteer of the Year

Natalie Saikowski Goertz, co-chair of the Woodlands North Houston Conference for Women and Senior Vice President at Guaranty Bank & Trust, was named Volunteer of the Year and sworn in as a Board Member for the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

Natalie Saikowski Goertz’s history with the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce includes:

  • 2019 – Named Trail Blazer
  • 2020 – Current – Named The Woodlands/North Houston Chapter Co-Chair
  • 2020 – Named Chapter Chair of the Year and Volunteer of the Year
  • 2021 – Named Volunteer of the Year
  • 2021 – Graduate of the Thought Leader’s Institute
  • 2021 and 2022 – Named Board Member

The Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GHWCC) is a nonprofit business organization of highly influential and diverse women and men dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of women through avenues of leadership, education, advocacy and mentoring. This year marked the GHWCC’s 15th anniversary and The Woodlands Chapter’s 5th anniversary.
