Harper’s Landing Pool Closure starting July 1

By  |

Due to staff training challenges with social distancing and staff shortages due to the Covid 19-Pandemic, The Woodlands Township will be closing the Harper’s Landing pool starting July 1, 2020. To date, there have been no lifeguard staff that have tested positive or who are in quarantine at Harper’s Landing Pool.

Throughout the pool system, a number of guards are currently under quarantine, which reduces the number of guards available to staff the facilities. If guards are able to be cleared from quarantine protocols, the facility maybe re-opened at a later date.

Bear Branch Pool and Wendtwoods Pool will remain open Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Alden Bridge, Creekwood, Forestgate and Sawmill Pools will be open from noon to 6 p.m., Sunday through Saturday.

Pool Inservice Schedule

  • Monday: Alden Bridge Pool and Forestgate Pool

  • Wednesday: Bear Branch Pool and Wendtwoods Pool
  • Thursday: Creekwood Pool

Please note that if additional guards enter the quarantine protocol and/or the numbers of guards are insufficient to staff the remaining pools, other pools may be required to be closed.
