IRONKIDS Texas Fun Run and Doggie Dash held at Northshore Park
The 2023 IRONKIDS Texas Fun Run and Doggie Dash was held on the morning of Saturday, April 15 at Northshore Park in The Woodlands.

Children’s Memorial Hermann was the presenting sponsor of the event that offered young athletes the opportunity to feel the excitement of competition, while enjoying the outdoors and promoting healthy living. At the Northshore Park event site, the IRONKIDS village had a fun variety of activities starting at 8:30 a.m. including snow cones, arts and crafts, an obstacle course for kids, pediatric transport ambulance tours, mascots, face painting, local pediatricians meet-and-greets, and check out some pet vendors too.
The IRONKIDS race included the Diaper Dash – 26.2 ft. (independent crawlers,under 2 years), Toddler Dot Trot – 80 ft. (independent walkers, ages 1-3 years), Half mile (ages 3-8 years), and Mile (ages 5-17 years).
The Doggie Dash, a new race featured at this year’s event, followed the children’s races where leashed dogs and their handler had the option to compete in two courses.
A portion of the proceeds benefited the Memorial Hermann Foundation and Operation Pets Alive.
