Local Fire Departments respond and control Spring house fire after lightning strike
On Friday, August 15, The Woodlands Fire Department reported that at 1:00pm this afternoon Truck 108 and Battalion 102 responded to the 6800 Block of Antique Cedar Lane in northwest Harris County to assist the Spring Fire Department with a house fire after a lightning strike. The fire had spread throughout the attic and it took firefighters 30 minutes to bring it under control.
As of 1:11pm, Harris County Constable Precinct 4 shared that no injuries were reported at this time.
Spring Fire Department confirmed at 2:04pm that the house fire was out, but Spring Firefighters remained on scene in Auburn Lakes. Spring FD also stated the Harris County Fire Mashal’s Office will determine the cause of the house fire.
