There’s no need to leave The Woodlands area to celebrate Mardi Gras! Stay local and “laissez les bons temps rouler” at one of these events.
February 12 – Rotary Evening of Elegance Gala – Enjoy a Mardi Gras themed evening as the Rotary Club honors US Congressman Kevin and Cathy Brady. February 24 – Shadow Puppet Theatre: Dinosaur Mardi Gras – The Woodlands Children’s Museum’s Shadow Puppet Theatre presents Dinosaur Mardi Gras by Dianne de Las Casas at 11:00 am. Some very hip dinosaurs join in the celebration during carnival time in New Orleans! Shadow Puppet Theatre is an introduction to storytelling elements that allows audience members to interact directly with each other and children of all ages are enchanted with the animated shadows. February 26 – Old Town Spring’s Mardi Gras Celebration – Come and celebrate Mardi Gras at Old Town Spring! Participating shops will be passing out candy to the kids. February 26 – Outrun Hunger 5k & 10k – Join the fight against hunger by participating in Montgomery County Food Bank’s first-ever fun run – Outrun Hunger! All ages and runner experience levels are encouraged to attend this fun, family-friendly event! Outrun Hunger’s Mardi Gras-themed events include a 5k, 10k, and Second Line (1 mile) Parade.
