Local Memorial Day Events 2022
This Memorial Day, honor our fallen service men and women and celebrate the unofficial start of summer with these local events.
May 26, 2022 –Memorial Day Wreath Laying Ceremony – Community members are invited to the annual Memorial Day Wreath Laying Ceremony at the WWII Memorial at the Tomball Museum Center, located around 510 North Pine Street, Tomball 77375. The guest speaker will be Wesley Hunt, United States Army (Captain, retired). Additionally, there will be speakers & participants of Tomball VFW & American Legion members and others. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair for comfort while viewing the program. Learn More
May 29, 2022 – Memorial Day in The Woodlands – The Memorial Day in The Woodlands event pays tribute to all military service men and women who lost their lives while serving the United States. The festival features live music, children’s activities, strolling entertainment and more at Town Green Park. The evening concludes with a dazzling fireworks display choreographed to a patriotic soundtrack. Concessions will be available for purchase. A care package drop-off booth will be available onsite to accept donations of recommended items to be shipped to the troops. Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted. May 30, 2022 –Memorial Day Observance and Monument Dedication at Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park – Honor the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States Military at the Memorial Day Observance and Monument Dedication at Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park in Conroe, from 11:00 am to noon. Major Courtney J. Boston, USMC, Sam Houston State Graduate, will be the Featured Speaker. Learn More
May 30, 2022 – Memorial Day Party in the Park at Market Street – Calling all kids! Party in the park this Memorial Day at Market Street from 3-6 pm! There will music, dancing and tons of fun with the help of DJ London and The Texas Bubblers! Learn More
May 30, 2022 –Memorial Day Tribute 2022 – Join VFW Post 4709 for a Memorial Day service to honor and pay tribute to the men and women who served America with honor and dignity and paid the ultimate sacrifice. Learn More
May 30, 2022 – Memorial Day Ceremony in Tomball – Come out to the annual Memorial Day tribute at the Tomball Walmart at 27650 TX-249 from 10am to noon to honor those who served our country with a flag retirement ceremony and more. Learn More
