Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber celebrates continued growth of Women’s Initiative – She Se Puede!
The Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber (MCHC) is proud to announce the continued growth and momentum of its women’s initiative, She Se Puede! — a community of dynamic women committed to professional growth, collective impact, and authentic sisterhood.
She Se Puede! brings together women from all industries and backgrounds to share experiences, uplift one another, and build a network that goes beyond business cards. Through collaboration, peer mentorship, and strategic development, members strengthen both their individual and collective voices to create meaningful change in their careers, communities, and beyond.
The next She Se Puede! gathering will take place on Tuesday, August 26, at Lone Star College–System Office (Community Building) and will be facilitated by Dr. Melanie Rodriguez. This month’s theme is appropriately themed “Back to School – Siempre Aprendiendo.” The session will explore the idea that we are each a work in progress and a source of wisdom. Leadership is not about having all the answers — it’s about showing up ready to learn, ready to share, and ready to grow juntas.
Known for her work in amplifying leadership in the Latino community, Dr. Rodriguez is a sought-after speaker who connects cultural norms to leadership style. As a thought leader she strives to be a conduit for people, resources, and ideas. In 2023, she was appointed by Mayor Sylvester Turner to the Gulf Coast Workforce Commission. Dr. Rodriguez also serves on the Board of Directors for Texas Executive Women, El Centro de Corazon, Small Places, the International Coaching Federation Houston Chapter, and Impact 100 Houston.

“She Se Puede! is more than just a program — it’s a movement,” said Jan Cornelius LeClair (She Se Puede co-chair, MCHC Board member, and owner of The Brew Group). “We’re seeing women connect, collaborate, and create opportunities for one another in ways that are transforming our local business landscape.”

“We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Rodriguez back for another session,” said Martha Murillo, co-chair of She Se Puede, and MCHC Board Secretary. “Her ability to connect, inspire, and challenge us to grow makes every interaction impactful.”
MCHC extends heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors who make this initiative possible: Serenity Sips Wellness Café, The Brew Group, Lone Star College, Knead Me Bakery, and Elevate Latinas. Their commitment to supporting women in leadership is helping fuel the program’s success and reach.
