Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber hosts 2nd annual Adelante! Hispanic Business Expo

The Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber’s (MCHC) second annual Adelante! Hispanic Business Expo with Presenting Sponsor JPMorganChase took place on Thursday, October 9 at the Lone Star College-System Office Community Building in The Woodlands.

Adelante! was a celebration of entrepreneurship, economic advancement, and the continued influence of Hispanic-owned businesses in the region featuring nearly 50 vendors, interactive workshops, and an economic update highlighting the impact of Hispanic businesses both locally and nationally.

The Adelante! Hispanic Business Expo opened it’s doors at 7:30 a.m. with networking and had opening remarks by MCHC Board Members Zak Galindo and Dr. Hedith Sauceda Upshaw with JPMorgan Chase Market Executive Amber Felipe.

The Expo opened with vendors and the first set of Workshops featured “The Creativity Multiplier” with Lizzie Pritchett of BellWether Concepts, “Exiting Your Business” with Cydney Nash of Clay Hostetter Rhame & Gorrell Wealth Management, and “Scaling Your Business” with Zak Galindo of Galindo’s. The second set of Workshops included “Cyber Security & Fraud” with the JPMorganChase Panel, “From Manager to Coach” with Melanie Rodriguez of Elevate Latinas, and “Ask and you Shall Succeed” with Emily Galindo of NIA Networking.

The Founders Panel included MCHC Chairman and JPMorgan Commercial Banker Chris Hoffman, Preferred Technologies President Sean Castillo, Nexus Disposal COO Steven Zapata, and Don Cosme Tequila CEO & President Michael Moretti.

Silvana Montenegro, Office of Hispanic & Latino Affairs, shared the National Economic/Hispanic Community Update and Gil Staley, SVP Business Development of Origin Bank, shared the Regional Economic/Hispanic Community Update.

Arturo Henriquez was a passionate, energizing, and dynamic keynote speaker who shared his journey of personally starting, buying and selling over 55 companies across 18 industries while managing over 2,000 employees. As a successful Serial Entrepreneur, Executive, and three time best selling author, Henriquez shared unique leadership insights and his inspirational story of resilience and perseverance.

To close the event, MCHC President Miguel Lopez thanked Adelante! sponsors, supporters, volunteers, and friends who helped bring the event and vision to life, plus shared gratitude on behalf of the MCHC to all attendees of the event. “Adelante! embodies the spirit of moving forward, the continued growth of both our Chamber and the Hispanic business community. Adelante! is more than an event, or just an expo…it’s a celebration of our resilience, our culture, and our collective economic power.”
