Montgomery County Sheriff completes Fourth Annual No-Shave November Fundraiser

By  |

During November, Sheriff Rand Henderson authorized staff of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to participate in its 4th annual No-Shave November charity event. The purpose of the month-long fundraiser was to help raise awareness for cancer research. Sheriff’s Office personnel paid a minimum of $50.00 to participate in the initiative. On December 7, 2021, on behalf of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Henderson presented a check for the money raised in the amount of $15,235.00 to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission is to aid in the research for cures of blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients and survivors.

This event’s participation was voluntary and over 300 employees contributed to the fundraiser.

Sheriff Henderson said, “I am humbled by our agency’s commitment to help bring awareness to the cancer research efforts undertaken by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Within the foundation of this community collaboration, a servant’s heart was on display, and I couldn’t be more proud of our employees and community who united for such a noble cause.”
