Pavilion salutes Community Heroes at A Symphony of Heroes

On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion hosted a special salute to heroes with an action-packed program by the Houston Symphony. A Symphony of Heroes featured musical scores from a variety of iconic movies including Superman, Spider-Man, The Avengers and The Incredibles as well as a tribute to everyday community heroes.

Pre-performance activities in the North Plaza began at 6:30 p.m. and included exploring fire trucks and police cars, decorating thank-you notes for community heroes at The Pavilion Partners arts and crafts booth, making music at the Instrument Petting Zoo and sponsor activities by Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse, Fidelity Investments, Tommy Bahama, Code Ninjas, Woodforest National Bank and Renewal by Andersen.

Opened in 1990, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is part of The Center for the Performing Arts at The Woodlands, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides diverse, high-quality performing arts events for the entertainment and enrichment of a broad regional audience.
