Pearl Fincher Museum Joins North American Reciprocal Museum Association

SPRING, TX – The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is now a member of the North American Reciprocal Museum Association (NARM), which includes more than 1,160 museums, botanical gardens, and other arts, cultural and historical institutions.

By becoming a member of the Pearl at the Patron level or higher, you can gain free admission to NARM members throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and beyond.

The Pearl offers a variety of membership levels with attractive benefits, starting at just $30 per year. Patron memberships are $125 annually and include membership for the entire family, a 10% discount on Museum Store purchases, invitations to three private exhibition preview parties each year, and admission to NARM affiliate organizations.

Final Days to see The Chaney Family: A Contemporary Art Collection

The Pearl’s summer exhibition, The Chaney Family: A Contemporary Art Collection is open to the public through Saturday, August 21.

With colorful, engaging works from more than 30 artists—including sculptures, installation art, paintings and photography—it’s the perfect outing for individuals and families alike.

The collection features a range of work by more than 30 artists. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and admission is free. For more information visit pearlmfa.org.

Fall Classes at the School of Art

The fall session of classes at the Pearl Fincher Museum School of Art will begin September 20 and continue through November 8. A variety of classes will be available for ages 5 to 8, ages 9 to 12, teens, and adults. 

The School of Art is devoted to nurturing creativity and fostering an appreciation of the arts. Small class sizes provide the opportunity for in-depth instruction from talented faculty.

Art Start for Preschool Children

Each Wednesday, the Pearl offers Art Start—a program designed especially for little ones ages 5 and under.

Using story time and a related art activity, Art Start introduces preschool-aged children to visual learning and creative expression. Sessions are limited to 10 children. The program is free but RSVP’s are required by calling (281) 376-6322.

Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts

The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts exists to provide direct, first-hand access to original works of art, and to offer outstanding educational and public programming. As the only Fine Arts museum in Harris County outside the city center of Houston, the Pearl operates completely through the generous donations of individuals, businesses and foundations from the greater Houston community, and is free to all.

Located at 6815 Cypresswood Drive in Spring, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free. Donations and membership support are appreciated and help continue the Pearl’s mission of art, education, and community.
