PHOTOS: Patriot Day of Remembrance in The Woodlands

The Patriot Day of Remembrance was held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 7:30 a.m. at the Central Fire Station located at 9951 Grogan’s Mill Road, The Woodlands, TX 77380. The ceremony included a Presentation of Colors by The Woodlands Fire Department Honor Guard along with a reading of The Fireman’s Prayer and The Ringing of the Bell in honor of fallen firefighters. The event, hosted by The Woodlands Township and the Township Board of Directors, also paid tribute to those who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

Later today, First Responders Day in The Woodlands will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380. The Woodlands Township will honor and thank first responders with a community gathering featuring a Presentation of Colors by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, speakers, and more. The community is invited to attend the event in-person or watch live on The Woodlands Township’s Facebook page.

Those planning to attend the event should practice social distancing, refrain from gathering in large groups, wear a face covering and continue following all guidelines established by the CDC when in public spaces and around others outside of their own households. Please note all information is subject to change, pending local, state, and federal Orders or Declarations.
