Radunare’s Celebrity Waiter Supper Raises $10K for MCFB

THE WOODLANDS, TX – On Wednesday, July 17^th Dr. Frank Morello hosted over 120 diners at Radunare’s grand opening event – a Celebrity Waiter Spaghetti Supper, benefiting the Montgomery County Food Bank (MCFB). Party goers sipped on wine and Peroni and devoured heaps of house-made spaghetti and meatballs, while the Celebrity Waiters used zany antics, outrageous costumes, and fun props to encourage party goers to give “tips.” The evening raised $10,000 for the food bank.

Hollie, President & CEO of The Woodlands Chamber; Janine Jones, Public Relations & Catering Manager for Churrascos Woodlands; Juanita Newman, Executive Assistant & Investor Relations Coordinator at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation; Ky Bishop, Staff Chaplain at Strike; Lonny Soza, General Manager at Post Oak Motors; Miguel Lopez, Executive Director – Small Business Development Center at Lone Star College; Monette Smith, CEO & Publisher of PR Luxury Media; Nick Wolda, President of Visit The Woodlands; Tammy Schroder, Business Development Manager at Veritas Title Partners; and Zach Richmond, Real Estate Agent at The Richmond Realty Group.

Montgomery County Food Bank began in 1985 as a door-to-door operation run out of car trunks by a small group of volunteers wanting to serve those in need in their community. Throughout the past 30 years, generous donors and volunteers have built it into an organization capable of distributing over 8 million pounds of food annually. The Food Bank also hosts mobile food distributions, offers nutritional education programs, emergency assistance in the time of a disaster or crisis, and provides meal programs for children and senior citizens.

Montgomery County Food Bank is 501(c)(3) chartered by the state of Texas and is a member of the Texas Food Bank Network and Feeding America. Its headquarters is located at 1 Food For Life Way in Conroe, near Hwy. 242 and I-45, just north of The Woodlands.
