Red, Hot and Blue Festival parking and fireworks

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Residents are invited to celebrate Independence Day at the Township’s annual Red, Hot and Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza, presented by CHI St. Luke’s Health – The Woodlands Hospital.

Celebrate freedom with live entertainment and activities at multiple parks in The Woodlands on Thursday, July 4, 2019, from 6 to 10 p.m. Fireworks begin approximately at 9:30 p.m. and will be choreographed to a patriotic soundtrack broadcast on KSTAR Country 99.7 FM. Event-goers and spectators are encouraged to experience both the sights and sounds of the Fireworks Extravaganza by tuning in to KSTAR Country 99.7 FM to broadcast the soundtrack live on www.kstarcountry.com or by downloading the app. The app can be found by searching “KSTAR Country Radio” in the App Store or on Google Play.

Please be advised vehicular access into Northshore Park will be restricted on Thursday, July 4, 2019, for safety and security. Majority of the Northshore Park boat docks will remain unavailable for use through Friday, July 5, 2019, although staff will work diligently to ensure they are opened prior to this date if possible. Northshore Park will have limited vehicular traffic on Friday, July 5, 2019, for equipment removal.

Parking Information

Please view the fireworks launch locations and parking map to identify designated parking areas for each event site. To ensure spectators have the best fireworks visibility possible, fireworks teaser shots will be fired from all launch locations at 9, 9:10 and 9:20 p.m.

Festival Locations and Activities

Enjoy a variety of activities throughout The Woodlands at the below locations! All sites will feature live music beginning at 6 p.m. with bands playing until the Fireworks Extravaganza at approximately 9:30 p.m. For the comfort and safety of all attendees, oversized beach umbrellas and pop-up tents are not permitted at the Festival.

The 18-minute Fireworks Extravaganza will take place at approximately 9:30 p.m. The primary fireworks display will be located in Lake Woodlands adjacent to Northshore Park, with a secondary close-proximity (special effects) display at Town Green Park. The 2019 Fireworks Extravaganza will also feature a fireworks display in the Waterway Square District near Timberloch Place and Waterway Avenue and Rob Fleming Park in the Village of Creekside Park.

Town Green Park Independence Stage – The Fantastics (Variety) 

Festival activities include strolling entertainers, face painters, balloon artists, inflatables, entertainment on two stages, a variety of food vendors, and a Kids’ Zone featuring crafts and other family-fun games. Participants must have a wristband to enter the inflatable activities at this location. Wristbands are $10 each and good for unlimited access of the inflatables for the duration of the event. 

Waterway Square – 31 Waterway Square Place

Willow Creek Junction (Country)

Activities include face painting, balloon artist, concessions and live music.
Fourth of July Parade Awards at 7 p.m.

Northshore Park – 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive

Activities include face painting, concessions and live music. 

Residents should be advised Northshore Park access will be affected on the following dates for the event:

  • Limited to minimal vehicular traffic July 2 through 3 to begin event preparations and set up. 
  • The park will be closed to the public from 6 to 9 a.m. on July 2 to accommodate further set up. 
  • No vehicular access on July 4 for safety and security, reopening on July 5 with limited vehicular access.
  • Majority of the docks at Northshore Park will be unavailable June 24 through July 9.

Rob Fleming Park – 6055 Creekside Forest Drive
