Rotary Evening of Elegance “A Night of Stars” Gala to spotlight 50 Years of Community Service
Save the date! Rotary Club of The Woodlands’ annual fundraising gala, An Evening of Elegance, will be held on February 15, 2025 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. This year’s theme is “A Night of Stars” – Spotlighting 50 Years of Community Service.
This year’s gala is especially significant, as Rotary celebrates its 50th anniversary. “Celebrating 50 years of service, the Rotary Club of The Woodlands stands as a testament to the power of community, commitment, and compassion. Together, we’ve built a legacy of making a difference – one act of kindness at a time- and look forward to many more years of improving lives and inspiring hope,” remarked Rotary President, Denton Florian.
Rotary’s primary fundraising event will be led by Brittany Ruzicka and Theresa Wagaman who will serve as co-chairs. Brittany Ruzicka is Director of Sales for American Express Merchant Services and Theresa Wagaman is past president of the Rotary Club of The Woodlands, serves on the CISD school board, and is a realtor with Richmond Realty.
Each year, someone is chosen to be honored at the Gala for their significant contributions to Rotary and the community. This year, Julie Martineau will be recognized for her years of “service above self.”
“Theresa and I are extremely honored to celebrate 50 years of service to our community. The gala is a moment for us to come together to recognize the remarkable contributions of our honoree, Julie Martineau, and to celebrate the impact Rotarians have made over the years. It is a night of glamour, generosity, and giving back to support Rotary House, scholarships, and Rotary outreach. We look forward to an inspiring successful evening, says Brittany Ruzicka.”
Julie P. Martineau serves as President & CEO of the Montgomery County Community “MCCF.” She has dedicated her professional career to expanding the number of people served and services offered by creating lasting partnerships with key community stakeholders.
