Schools close Wednesday and Thursday across Montgomery County
As of 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 the following schools and school district campuses are closing Wednesday, February 17 and some also have announced on Thursday, February 18. Some schools have shifted to remote learning only.
Conroe ISD: “After further evaluation of the impact of recent weather events in addition to the inclement weather forecast for our area, Conroe ISD will be closed on Wednesday, February 17, and Thursday, February 18. All extracurricular activities scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday are canceled or will be rescheduled. A decision about Friday, February 19, will be announced by 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 18.”
Interfaith Child Development Center: “Interfaith Child Development Center will now be closed through Wednesday, February 17th for all programs due to inclement weather. We are closely monitoring the weather and will communicate through social media and email with further updates.”
UPDATED 11/17 11:30am: The John Cooper School: “The John Cooper School campus will be closed and all remote classes are canceled for Wednesday, February 17 and Thursday, February 18.”
Magnolia ISD: “Due to the hazardous road conditions, Magnolia ISD will continue remote instruction for students, and all campuses and offices will be closed on Wednesday, February 17. We understand that many of you may be without power and/or internet. Paper packet assignments and learning activities were sent home on Friday. All attendance will be verified and corrected upon completed assignments when we return to school. We hope everyone stays safe and warm.”
Montgomery ISD: “All schools and district offices closed through Thursday, Feb. 18. Due to continued power outages in the area, forecasted inclement weather on Wednesday and icy and hazardous road conditions predicted through Thursday, Montgomery ISD schools and district offices will now remain closed through Thursday, Feb. 18. No remote or in-person learning will occur on Wednesday, Feb. 17 or Thursday, Feb. 18. We will continue to monitor the weather and will provide an update for Friday, Feb. 19 on Thursday.”
Tomball ISD: “Out of an abundance of caution considering the weather conditions, Tomball ISD will be completely CLOSED Wednesday & Thursday. We will announce plans for Friday later this week. Stay safe and warm.”
The Woodlands Christian Academy: “TWCA WILL BE CLOSED WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 17 AND 18, 2021. Stay safe, Warrior Nation!”
