Serving Up Hope for Autism Breakfast to support the First Tuition-Free Autism Charter School in Texas
Thrive Center for Success, a groundbreaking charter school dedicated to serving children with autism, today announced its second annual fundraising breakfast scheduled for April 1st at Truluck’s in The Woodlands. This event provides critical funding for the innovative educational institution that provides specialized, tuition-free education designed specifically for students on the autism spectrum.
The breakfast will be co-chaired by Holly Sexton and Leigh Drabek, both passionate advocates for autism education and community leaders committed to expanding educational opportunities for children with special needs.

“It is an honor to co-chair this breakfast to raise funds for Thrive Center for Success. Thrive is more than a school to our family – it has been a safe, nurturing place where my son has grown, gained confidence, and flourished both academically and personally. I firmly believe all children deserve an education that recognizes their individual strengths and needs. At Thrive, children and families gain access to opportunities, programs and support that can truly transform their lives and futures,” Leigh Drabek reflected.
Waste Connections has stepped forward as the Presenting Sponsor for the event, demonstrating their commitment to supporting educational initiatives that serve vulnerable student populations.
Truluck’s will serve as the venue sponsor, providing an elegant setting for this important community gathering.
“Waste Connections is proud to support Thrive Center for Success in their mission to provide exceptional educational opportunities for children with autism,” said Michelle Little “We believe every child deserves access to quality education tailored to their unique needs.”
Thrive Center for Success stands as the first of its kind – a free charter school specifically designed with autism-focused curricula, teaching methodologies, and support services. The school addresses a critical gap in educational options for families affected by autism, providing specialized instruction at no cost to families.
“Watching the impact Thrive has had on my best friend’s son’s school experience has been incredibly moving, and it’s what inspired me to step into the co-chair role with her. By raising both awareness and critical funds, we can support Thrive’s growth and expansion and ensure even more children have access to this exceptional education that sets them up for success, well beyond the classroom,” says Holly Sexton.
Sponsorship opportunities are currently available for businesses and individuals interested in supporting this pioneering educational initiative. Thrive With Autism Foundation – Second Annual Serving Up HOPE for Autism Breakfast Funds raised will directly support capital needs and facility enhancements that create an optimal learning environment for students with autism.
“As the founder of Thrive Center for Success, I am inspired by the generosity of our community to support our academic model for children with autism, says Elizabeth Goldsmith. There are 125,000 Texas students who receive special services for autism. If students with autism were organized into a single school district, it would be the third-largest school district in Texas.”
