The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office shared the following Winter Weather Advisory Update on January 20, 2025 at 8:18 p.m.

Stay Safe, Montgomery County: Winter Storm has begun!

The winter storm has begun, and road conditions are already becoming hazardous. Precipitation, including sleet and snow, will intensify overnight, making travel dangerous. Please stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.

Your Sheriff’s Office is on duty and ready to respond, but we need your help:

  • Avoid unnecessary travel.
  • Check on neighbors, especially the elderly.
  • Prepare for possible power outages and stay informed through official updates.
  • For emergencies, call 911. For non-emergencies, contact us at 936-760-5800. Together, we can weather this storm safely.
