Suspect apprehended following Lewd Conduct and Assault on Deputies

The following press release titled “Suspect apprehended following Lewd Conduct and Assault on Deputies” was received from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on May 5, 2026 at 10:41 a.m.

On May 2, 2026, at approximately 5:15 pm, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office South Patrol Command were dispatched to the Dollar General Store located at 501 Sawdust Road in reference to an indecent exposure. According to the 911 caller, a male suspect was observed exposing himself and committing lewd acts within plain view of others inside the store and in the parking lot.

The suspect, later identified as 22-year-old [male suspect], attempted to flee the scene in a vehicle but was prevented from doing so by arriving deputies. As law enforcement attempted to place [the suspect] in custody, he began fighting the deputies, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries to one deputy.

[The suspect] was successfully arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he was charged with Aggravated Assault of a Public Servant, Assault of a Public Servant, Indecent Exposure, Evading, and Escape.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information, or anyone who believes they may have witnessed this incident or other similar instances involving [the suspect], to please call 936-539-5900.
