The John Cooper School Students selected as semi-finalists in National Merit Scholarship Program

The John Cooper School is proud to announce that several of its outstanding Senior students have been recognized as semi-finalists in the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program. This honor highlights their academic excellence, dedication, and commitment to success.

Students selected as semifinalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Competition are Aaron Bates, Egan Hansen, Ploy Phasuk, and Ethan Wang, Class of 2025.

These students have distinguished themselves among thousands across the nation by earning this recognition through their exceptional performance on the PSAT/NMSQT.

“We couldn’t be prouder of our students for achieving this significant milestone,” said Laura Schroeder, Director of College Counseling. “Their success reflects not only their individual efforts, but also the dedication of our entire school community to fostering an environment that encourages academic excellence to learn, grow, and thrive.”

The National Merit Scholarship Program identifies the nation’s most promising scholars and rewards them with opportunities for higher education through scholarships and other honors.

Cooper celebrates this achievement and looks forward to seeing the continued success of these talented students as they pursue their future endeavors, from curiosity to wisdom.
