The Woodlands Concert Band Announces Annual Patriotic Concert “I Love America XXII: Long May She Wave”

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Concert Band will perform its annual “I Love America XXII: Long May She Wave” patriotic concert, Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 4:00 pm at Christ Church Methodist, 6363 Research Forest Dr., The Woodlands, Texas 77381. Wear your favorite patriotic attire! Veterans and their families will be recognized and honored. Admission is free.

The Woodlands Concert Band Patriotic Concert

The concert will feature familiar songs representing the spirit of America from John Phillip Sousa, Morton Gould, John Williams, and the newly commissioned service anthem for the United States Space Force.

The Band will also perform at the South County 4th of July Parade, Tuesday, July 4, at 8:00 am on the south commons at Market Street.

The Woodlands Concert Band (est. 2000) is a volunteer organization of approximately 95 musicians. Our purpose is to provide an opportunity for adults to continue to perform beyond high school/college and pass on the enjoyment of live music to the members of our community. The band is comprised of members from a wide range of backgrounds and ages.

The Woodlands Concert Band has been honored to play at the Texas Bandmasters Association Convention, and the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago. The band was awarded the prestigious Sudler Silver Scroll Award in 2021 which identifies, recognizes, and honors those community bands that have demonstrated particularly high standards of excellence in concert activities over a period of several years, and which have played a significant and leading role in the cultural and musical environment in their respective communities.
