The Woodlands Family YMCA hosts 2nd Annual Splash & Dash

On the morning of Saturday, June 10, the YMCA Splash & Dash presented by Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands, the 1^st race in the YMCA Summer Race Series for Kids and Teens, was held at Shadowbend YMCA.

Designed for all fitness levels, kids/teens ages 7 – 15 were invited to swim/run for a cause. Boys and girls competed separately in their age groups. The top three finishers, male and female, in each age group received a special award and all participants received a goodie bag, T-shirt, and finisher medal. View the race results here.

Post race festivities included music, awards ceremony, refreshments, face art, bubble station, and concessions available to purchase.

The next two events in the 2nd Annual Summer Race Series for Kids and Teens are:

• July 15: YMCA Kids Triathlon, for Ages 6–13. Swim/Bike/Run format at the Branch Crossing YMCA in The Woodlands. Register Today at https://runsignup.com/Race/TX/TheWoodlands/YMCAKidsTriathlon.
• August 12: YMCA Kids Duathlon, for Ages 7–15. Run/Bike format at the new Holcomb Family YMCA in The Falls of Imperial Oaks in Spring.

A special award will be presented to those that complete all three races in the series.
