Township to Host Seminar on Creating Habitat for Wildlife, Pollinators

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Township will host a free seminar entitled Creating Habitat in the Garden and Community on Saturday, February 2, 2019. The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Woodlands Emergency Training Center, 16135 I-45 South, Conroe, TX 77385. Space is limited and registration is required.

The Woodlands Township will host a free seminar entitled Creating Habitat in the Garden and Community on Saturday, February 2, 2019. The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Woodlands Emergency Training Center, 16135 I-45 South, Conroe, TX 77385.

The seminar will address how various types of wildlife have been impacted by growth in our area, including a session providing a closer look at the monarch butterfly specifically. Additional sessions will suggest ways residents can protect or create habitat, especially for birds and pollinators.

The deadline to register is Thursday, January 31, 2019, by 5:00 p.m. Attendees may register online at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/environment. There is no fee to attend and snacks will be provided.

This program will be hosted by The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department in partnership with Texas Parks & Wildlife and National Wildlife Federation.
