By  |

August 25, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. Update from San Jacinto River Authority:  The slow leak was repaired in the San Jacinto River Authority’s (SJRA) 30-inch surface water transmission line located along Research Forest Drive near New Trails Drive in The Woodlands. SJRA’s contractor has laid street pavement and completed saw cuts for contraction joints. Curb will be placed this week, in addition to lane stripping. Site restoration is ongoing.

Water Line Repair at Research Forest and New Trails

All eastbound lanes on Research Forest Drive between Technology Forest Drive and New Trails Drive remain closed during the repairs. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and avoid the area as much as possible.

SJRA and its contractor will work as quickly as possible to restore traffic flow, including 24-hour work schedules and expedited material deliveries.

Please continue to monitor SJRA’s website www.sjra.net and Facebook and Twitter for updates.
