VIDEO: A Special Opening Ceremony and Flyover at Insperity Invitational’s Folds of Honor Greats of Golf
Today Saturday, May 3 at the Insperity Invitational, an impactful opening ceremony to tee off Folds of Honor Greats of Golf took place on the driving range of The Woodlands Country Club Tournament Course. The Patriot Parachute Team landed behind a Presentation of Colors just prior to a powerful flyover by the Commemorative Air Force Houston Wing and Gulf Coast Wings following the National Anthem.

Insperity Invitational – Saturday, May 3
Weir, Goosen Share 1 – Shot Lead into Sunday
Major winners, Mike Weir and Retief Goosen share a 1-shot lead heading into Sunday’s final round after a marathon day at the 2025 Insperity Invitational. Weir, the 2021 Insperity Invitational champion, completed the final seven holes of his opening round Saturday morning for a sizzling 7-under-par, 65. The 2003 Masters champion from Canada backed that up in the afternoon with a 70. South Africa’s Retief Goosen matched the 36-hole score of -7. The two-time U.S. Open winner carded rounds of 68 and 67.
Team Hall of Fame Wins – Greats of Golf Competition
The legendary team of Pat Bradley, David Graham, Tony Jacklin, Tom Kite and Sir Nick Faldo rolled in nine-straight birdies to win the 12th edition of the Folds of Honor Greats of Golf.
The annual Folds of Honor Greats of Golf exhibition featured 20 of golf’s most dominant performers over the last seven decades, including 17 World Golf Hall of Famers, playing a nine-hole scramble format.

T2. Team Greats (-7) Inkster, Crenshaw, Rogers, North, Strange
T2. Team Majors (-7) Annika, Nicklaus, Player, Trevino, Watson

The final round of Insperity Invitational will begin at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, May 4.
Insperity Invitational, the annual world-class PGA TOUR Champions event featuring the best professional golfers over 50 in the world, began April 28 and continues through May 4 at The Woodlands Country Club Tournament Course. General admission is free of charge courtesy of Insperity, Woodforest National Bank and HPE along with free parking and shuttle to the course.
