Woodlands Arts Council Announces Call for Artists for 2022 Waterway Arts Festival

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Arts Council has announced its Call for Artists for the 2022 Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, scheduled for April 9-10, 2022 at Town Green Park and along The Woodlands Waterway. Approximately 200 artists will be juried in.

The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival has been consistently ranked one of the top fine arts festivals in the nation. The festival showcases artists from all over the world. Over 18,000 people attended 2021 Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival.

Media categories include: Ceramics, Digital Art, Drawing/Pastels, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Metal Works, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Wood, and Emerging Artist.

The early bird application fee, ending September 30, 2021, is $35. After September 30, the fee increases to $40. Applications will close on October 17th. Click here for the application.

Important Dates to Remember

  • August 1, 2021: Call to Artists – application available here.
  • September 30, 2021: EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT ends at midnight.
  • October 17, 2021: Application deadline at midnight (CST)
  • November 6, 2021: Artist Image Jury-LIVE
  • November 20th, 2021: Artist Notification of jury results
  • January 3rd, 2022: Invited Artist Payment deadline -Contracts and booth fees due
  • February 1, 2022: Refund deadline at midnight CST. Marketing campaign kicks off
  • April 7 & 8, 2022: Artist Load-in beginning at 9 AM 
  • April 8, 2022: Art Dash Party 6 PM
  • April 9 & 10, 2022: The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival (Sat. & Sun. 10 AM – 6 PM)
