2019 Election Guide: The Woodlands Township Candidates

Hello Woodlands gave the opportunity to candidates running for The Woodlands Township Board of Directors to complete an interview including the exact same 10 questions:
- Share your background. What originally brought you to The Woodlands?
- How do you contribute, give back and make a difference in our community?
- Why do you enjoy living (and/or working) in The Woodlands?
- How has The Woodlands helped and impacted you?
- What motivates you to run for The Woodlands Township Board of Directors?
- What are 5 things that you want voters to know about you (personal, points, views, experience, etc.)?
- What makes you unique in comparison to other candidates?
- What are your views on incorporation?
- If elected, what would your top 3 priorities as a Township Board of Director? How would you work to impact/shape the future of The Woodlands?
- Would you like to share any other words or a message to The Woodlands community?
Candidates were also given the opportunity to submit photos and website links with the questionnaire responses.
Each position has a two-year term, is an unpaid volunteer position, and is elected at-large by voters in The Woodlands Township in both Montgomery County and Harris County. The election is scheduled for November 5, 2019. Voters must be registered to vote for The Woodlands election.
THE WOODLANDS TOWNSHIP BOARD OF DIRECTORS – 2019 CANDIDATES
The following are the candidates for three (3) at-large positions on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors in the November 2019 election. The positions are designated as 5, 6, and 7. Candidates are listed per the determined ballot order.

2019 CANDIDATE FORUM
The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business Advocacy Council hosted a candidate forum for the 2019 race on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 4-6 p.m. at the Chamber’s Lakeshore Boardroom, located at 9320 Lakeside Blvd. in The Woodlands.
Three at-large positions on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will be elected in the November 5, 2019 election, designated as positions 5, 6 and 7.

VOTING ELIGIBILITY
To vote in The Woodlands Township election, you must be a registered voter in the county of your residents and a resident of The Woodlands Township.
2019 VOTING INFORMATION
- October 7, 2019 – Last Day to Register to Vote
- October 21, 2019 – First Day of Early Voting by Personal Appearance
- October 25, 2019 – Last Day to Apply for Ballot by Mail (received, not postmarked)
- November 1, 2019 – Last Day of Early Voting by Personal Appearance
- November 5, 2019 – Election Day
Registered voters in Montgomery County may vote at any of the Montgomery County Early Voting Polling locations on Monday, October 21 through November 5, 2019.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO VOTE?
The State of Texas requires all voters to present an approved form of photo identification at the polls. Learn more at https://www.votetexas.gov/register-to-vote/need-id.html
Approved Photo IDs include Texas Driver License, Texas Election Identification Certificate, Texas Personal Identification Card, Texas Concealed Handgun License, United States Military Identification Card, United States Citizenship Certificate, and United States Passport.
