Greater Conroe Arts Alliance hosts annual Arts Festival in Downtown Conroe

The annual Greater Conroe Arts Festival was held on Saturday, March 29 in Downtown Conroe. The event is hosted every year by Greater Conroe Arts Alliance which is made up of 21 Arts organizations in Montgomery County, Texas, who represent the performing, visual, literary, and cultural arts.

This year, the festival featured two stages – the Founders stage and Texas stage – showcasing an incredible lineup of performances. Some of the Festival highlights also included 10 minute plays every 30 minutes on stage at the Owen Theatre and Conroe Art League with CAL National Art Show on display in the Gallery.

The festival included fine art vendors, museum displays and activities, artists live painting, and Plein Air Artists painting scenes from the festival and downtown Conroe. All paintings painted during the Festival were donated to the Festival Auction that took place at 3pm at Founders Stage.

A photography Contest, Jr. High and High School Theatre Contest, pottery demonstrations, bronze sculpture artist, cartoonist, and sculpture Garden photo ops were also featured at the festival.

Attends had the opportunity to watch Street Chalk Artists and a participate in a Community Chalk Art Activity. The Festival Kids Art Village included a Lego Build for all ages, kids art take home projects, kid’s mural, music petting zoo, prop petting zoo, living statues, dance gym, costume character photo ops, Main Street Market, food trucks, and so much more.
