Montgomery ISD Education Foundation to Host Inaugural State of the District Victory Breakfast Oct 3

The Montgomery ISD Education Foundation is excited to announce its first-ever State of the District Victory Breakfast, featuring Superintendent Dr. Mark Ruffin. The event will be held Friday, October 3, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. at The Montgomery ISD Den, the district’s new Career & Technical Education and Agricultural Science centers.

Guests will enjoy a breakfast catered by Honor Café, sponsored by Two Step Farm, a new housing development coming to Montgomery ISD. Dr. Ruffin will deliver a State of the District presentation, sharing updates and a vision for Montgomery ISD’s future.

“We are thrilled to kick off what we believe will become an annual tradition—a State of the District breakfast on a day already filled with excitement and pride across Montgomery ISD,” said Tiffany Ortiz, Executive Director of the Montgomery ISD Education Foundation. “Starting the morning with community, vision, and support for our teachers, and then cheering on the Bears and Lions that evening, perfectly captures what makes Montgomery ISD such a special place to live and learn.”

All proceeds from the Victory Breakfast will directly support the Education Foundation’s Educator Grants, which provide funding for creative and innovative classroom projects across Montgomery ISD. This year, the Foundation is working toward awarding $125,000 in grants to empower Montgomery ISD teachers and inspire extraordinary learning experiences for students.

Friday, October 3 will be a day full of Montgomery ISD pride—after the Victory Breakfast, the community can cheer on our Montgomery Bears and Lake Creek Lions as they face off in the annual Mo-Town Showdown football game at the newly renovated stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
