National Youth Theater presents Mary Poppins
National Youth Theater (NYT) announces its upcoming production of Mary Poppins. ”Get ready to grab your umbrellas and a spoonful of sugar! This fall, NYT proudly presents the timeless classic Mary Poppins. Based on P.L. Travers’ beloved books and the iconic Walt Disney film, this spectacular production promises to bring the magical world of the practically perfect nanny to life with an abundance of whimsy, heart, and wonder.
Mary Poppins the musical is a wonderful family experience that brings joy and important life lessons. The story shows that with an open heart and a bit of imagination, anything is possible. It encourages families to believe in magic and the power of kindness. Watching Mary Poppins teach the Banks children about responsibility, love, and adventure reminds us all to appreciate the small moments in life. The musical combines catchy songs, colorful characters, and lively dance, making it fun for both kids and adults. Overall, it’s a timeless tale that inspires hope, togetherness, and the joy of believing in the impossible.
This talented cast, comprised of ages 8-19, will present the show November 7-9 at the Lone Star College Tomball Performing Arts Center. The center is located at 30555 Tomball Parkway in Tomball. The directorial team includes director/vocal director Lisa Moralas, assistant director/vocal director Courtney McLaughlin, assistant director Tim Barosh, and choreographer Erica Gallegos.
