The Patrick Reed AJGA Junior Championship will return to The Woodlands Country Club this June, once again bringing many of the top junior golfers from around the world to compete in one of the premier events on the American Junior Golf Association calendar.

While the championship showcases elite competition, the impact of the event extends far beyond the course.

Since its inception, the tournament has generated more than $2.6 million in economic impact for The Woodlands area, supporting local hotels, restaurants, retailers, and small businesses throughout tournament week. Families, coaches, spectators, and tournament staff travel from across the country and internationally to attend, creating a strong boost for the local community each year.

The event has also contributed more than $1.3 million toward charitable initiatives and youth development programs, reinforcing a shared commitment to growing the game and creating access for the next generation of athletes.

At the heart of the AJGA’s mission is a simple belief: talent and dedication should determine opportunity, not financial means. Through scholarship pathways, grant programs, and national competition, the organization continues to open doors for young golfers pursuing collegiate and professional dreams.

That mission is reflected throughout tournament week in The Woodlands.

Beyond the competition itself, the event has become known for its hospitality, volunteer support, and community involvement. In 2025, the championship received the Event Hospitality Award, recognizing the experience created by local volunteers, partners, and supporters who help make the event possible year after year.

Tournament organizers are continuing to seek community support through sponsorships, partnerships, and volunteer participation as the event continues to grow.

Whether you are a golf fan, local business, or community member looking to get involved, the Patrick Reed AJGA Junior Championship represents an opportunity to support youth development while helping showcase The Woodlands on a national stage.
