Ardest Gallery celebrates National Dog Day, Art sales benefit local dog rescues
On Saturday, August 26, Ardest Gallery invited the community to celebrate National Dog Day. Throughout the day, gallery visitors got a close up of seven local artists in action as they painted live, or sketched, commissioned dog portraits.
A percentage of all gallery sales will be donated to select local dog rescue groups, including Lone Star Animal Welfare League, Who Rescued Who, and Operation Pets Alive, who also had an informational booth just outside the gallery.

Participating pet portrait artists included Robyn Crowell, M L Huff, Lauren Luna, Jeff Lung, Judy Mackey, Teresa Staley, and Eric Sundin. If you weren’t able to attend the event, but would like to order a pet portrait of your special fur legged friend, Ardest Gallery is honoring purchases made through August 31, 2023 and will credit one of the three local dog rescue organizations of your choice.
