Arrest made in Child Exploitation Case following Joint Investigation
Constable Ryan Gable’s Office, in collaboration with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) – Human Trafficking (HT) and the Houston Police Department, has announced the arrest of Byron Richard Guidry on multiple charges related to child exploitation.
Guidry, a registered sex offender who was recently released from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, was apprehended this morning at a residence in Houston. As a repeat offender, he is currently on parole for previous offenses involving the sexual exploitation of minors. Arrest warrants, secured by ICAC/HT detectives at Constable Gable’s office, were executed at the residence on April 21st, 2025 resulting in Guidry’s arrest without incident.
After a thorough investigation into online and in-person exploitation and human trafficking, Guidry faces charges including online solicitation of a minor, sexual conduct, and the promotion and possession of child pornography. He has been booked into the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail and is being held without bond.
This case is being jointly managed by the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office and HSI’s Human Smuggling and Trafficking division.
