Chamber of Commerce Announces New Director of Governmental Affairs
The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the promotion of Lupe Cuellar to the role of Director of Governmental Affairs. In this role, Lupe is charged with directing The Chamber’s advocacy efforts with the Business Advocacy Council, Transportation Education Council and serving as a liaison with government representation on the local, state and national level. Lupe will also direct the Young Professionals Network and the Economic Outlook Conference.
“I am very thrilled for this new opportunity and look forward to working with the Business Advocacy Council, Transportation Education Council and our Young Professionals Network to educate, inform and engage our chamber membership.”
Lupe holds a double major in political science and criminal justice from Sam Houston State University. Previously Lupe has worked for Texas State Representative Will Metcalf and as an event coordinator for The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce.
