Earth Day GreenUp Online Registration is open through March 20

Join The Woodlands Township for the 14th annual Earth Day GreenUp on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 8 to 11 a.m.  Team up with family and friends to remove litter from pathways, greenbelts, and waterways.  Last year, more than 500 GreenUp volunteers removed over 1,000 pounds of litter from our community! 

Pre-registration for Earth Day GreenUp will close at 11 p.m. on March 20, 2024. Pre-registration is encouraged, especially for groups, to ensure equipment for all participants. After March 20, walk-up registration the day of the event will be welcome, although supplies are limited. Equipment is prioritized for those that pre-registered.

Check in between 8 and 9 a.m. at one of eight Township parks. Participants will receive disposable gloves, bags, a map to a nearby cleanup location and a limited supply of trash grabbers. All are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle and work gloves. After cleaning up the assigned location, return bagged litter and equipment to the check-in site by 11 a.m. Let’s Keep The Woodlands Beautiful together!

On event day, please remember: 

• Walk-Ups are welcome. All participants will need to sign a waiver at check-in. Participants under the age of 18 must be signed in by a parent or legal guardian.  
• Wear appropriate clothing – long pants and closed-toe shoes or boots are recommended.  
• Hats, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, gloves and a reusable water bottle are encouraged. 
• Disposable gloves and bags will be provided. 
• A limited number of grabbers and vests will be available.
