Fall Events and Recreational Activities in The Woodlands
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (October 9, 2017) – The Woodlands boasts a wide variety of recreational activities for all ages this fall, all produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department.
“These family-friendly activities give our residents the opportunity to spend time together and with friends in a fun and safe setting,” said Township Director of Parks and Recreation Chris Nunes. “We are happy to offer a variety of events for all ages to enjoy.”
Please note, all events and dates are weather permitting and subject to change.
The Haunted Trail
An annual tradition for the last 14 years, The Haunted Trail will scare up fun at Bear Branch Park, 5310 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas, 77381, from 8 to 10 p.m. on Fridays, October 13, 20 and 27, and Saturdays, October 14, 21 and 28, 2017. This year’s theme is Sinister Circus: Come one, come all! A new circus is in town!Just one small catch: Once you visit the circus, you never come out… Do you dare take a chance to see the show? The Haunted Trail is recommended for children ages 9 and older. Admission is $8 per person and entry ticket sales end at 9:30 p.m.
Trick or Treat Trail
On Sunday, October 29, 2017, families are invited to bring their princesses, pirates, ghosts and goblins to Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, Texas, 77380, from 3 to 6 p.m. for the annual Trick or Treat Trail. More than 30 local vendors will be hand out goodies to trick-or-treaters, and attendees will enjoy the great strolling entertainment, inflatables, games, costume contests and more at this free event. Fall Movie Series
Sit back, relax and enjoy classic movies from the ‘80s and ‘90s at our Fall Classic Movie Series! The movies will be shown at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park Amphitheater, located at 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas, 77389, starting at 6:30 p.m. on Fridays, November 10 and 17, and December 1 and 8. Movies will include “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” “Back to the Future,” “Hook,” and “The Santa Claus.” The movies are free to attend. Popcorn, drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. Be sure to bring chairs and blankets.
Fall Fest
Fall in love with the autumn season at our first annual Fall Festival from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas, 77389. Come and enjoy live music, inflatables, crafts, face painting, a petting zoo and much more! The event price is $5 per person entry; children 6 months and under free.
