Guide to Pictures with Santa in The Woodlands Area

Santa Claus is coming to The Woodlands area! There will be no shortage of St. Nick sightings around town and plenty of opportunities for pictures. The following are just a few of the many events where Santa will make an appearance and be available for photographs.

Woodforest Development – Enjoy a Woodforest Special Event with Santa on December 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The free event will feature photographs with Santa, hot cocoa, cookies, Letters to Santa and a holiday coloring contest. Start your tour at the Woodforest Development by Johnson Development Homefinder Lodge for the Special Event with Santa. Then tour 7 NEW Model homes by Darling and Taylor Morrison with holiday activities and treats at each stop. For details and directions, click here.

Turquoise Door – Book your Santa photographs online to get an appointment slot at the Turquoise Door so there will be no wait. The Turquoise Door is known for its over-the-top decorations and set-ups each year. Each time slot is 5 minutes, and additional slots can be booked if extra time is needed. There is no limit on the amount of people that can be in the picture.

Market Street – Santa will be located in space 1270 next to Ideal Image from November 16 – December 24. Market Street – The Woodlands will continue a much-loved holiday tradition by offering “Smile With Santa” in partnership with Texas Children’s Hospital. Children can have their photos taken with jolly ol’ St. Nick beginning November 16 at 11:00 a.m. through December 24, 2018. Hours vary so be sure to check before going. Lone Star College – Creekside Center – Santa is coming to meet all the boys and girls of Tomball and The Woodlands. Ol’ St. Nick will be appearing at Lone Star College – Creekside Center Wednesday, December 5th from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Santa will be available for holiday photos with families and taking wishlists back to the elves. Refreshments will be served. Families are welcome to join this free holiday event brought to you in part by Harris County Precinct 4, Lone Star College and Harris County Public Library. The event is free and tickets are not required for attendance.

Conroe Outlet Mall – The Outlet will have Santa’s cottage set up for photographs from November 25 – December 24. Extended hours begin December 17.

The Woodlands Mall – Get into the festive spirit by making a trip to visit the big guy at The Woodlands Mall while getting some shopping done. Skip the line by making reservations to see Santa. Reserve Monday – Wednesday through December 5 and save $5 on a photo package. Santa’s set-up is on level one near Macy’s. There are different themed days including pictures with pets, grandparents, and even an ugly sweater picture day.

Old Town Spring – Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Elf have been thrilling kids of all ages for 18 years in Old Town Spring. The Santa Express welcomes adults and pets too! Santa sits in a HUGE Chippendale Chair in the beautifully decorated Santa Express house for photographs. All kids get a candy cane after their visit, after telling Santa what they have on their Christmas lists. Letters to Santa are hung on the walls so he won’t forget the wishes. Photos are processed on-site and are ready for pick up shortly.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum – Santa Social with a Peppermint Twist at The Woodlands Children’s Museum is Saturday, December 8th from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. Mingle the morning away while meeting Santa for a photograph and enjoying a Continental breakfast. There will also be photos with Elsa from Frozen, a scavenger hunt with Santa’s elves, and opportunities to decorate gingerbread houses with Mrs. Claus. Be amazed by LeTheatre de Marionette’s performance of Peppermint Twist at two showtimes. Space is limited, call to RSVP 281-465-0955.

W.G. Jones State Forest – Have a picture taken with Santa in a woodland themed setting to create a unique family memory and support the educational programs at W.G. Jones State Forest. Children will also enjoy educational conservation kid’s crafts and cookies. Each family will be able to select a 2-gallon hardwood or pine tree to take home. Available dates and times are Friday, December 7, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. & Saturday, December 8, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Pets are welcome. All of the proceeds will go to the W. G. Jones State Forest Conservation Education Program, helping school children and teachers for 50 years.

In-Home Santa Visits – Grandparents and parents alike, bring back fond memories of jolly ol’ Saint Nick for the family, in the comfort of your home, with a magical holiday visit from Santa Claus. Each 15-20 minute home visit will include: Santa’s conversation with your children, a reading of Santa’s special story “The Night Before Christmas,” joining Santa in his favorite song, “Jingle Bells,” A traditional family picture or selfie with Santa; and finally, “Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!” will be heard as he leaves wide-eyed children with a priceless memory.

Heritage Park – The Conroe Christmas Celebration will take place in downtown Conroe, Saturday, December 8 from 11:00 am – 5:00 p.m. featuring Santa! The free holiday festivities include pictures with Santa, two snow slides, trackless train, carousel, petting zoo, live nativity scene, pony rides, camel rides, food and craft vendors and face painters! The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park is hosting several events that will feature Santa and have many opportunities for pictures:

  • Santa Social – Get your pajamas on and get the family together for some holiday fun for all ages. Enjoy a holiday movie while you do crafts, make garlands, and play games. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Don’t forget to bring your camera for a photo with Santa.
  • Milk & Cookies with Santa – Have milk and cookies with Santa, hear a Christmas story, decorate cookies and make a holiday plate. Bring a camera for a picture with Santa. Preregistration is required. Register today by calling 281-516-7348. Ages 3-11 years.
  • Breakfast with Santa – Breakfast with Santa includes a Continental style breakfast, special craft, holiday music and photographs with Santa. Preregistration is required. Register by calling 281-516-7348.
  • Gingerbread House Making with Santa – Build and decorate a gingerbread house with gum drops, peppermints, frosting and more. Parent participation required. Ages: 5-12 years old. Preregistration is required. Register today by calling 281-516-7348.
  • North Pole Bakery – Decorate cookies and other treats at the North Pole. Pastry chefs get to decorate a holiday apron and take pictures with Santa. Ages: 3-12.
