The Halloween season kicks off with The Wicked Wonderland Family Carnival from 4 to 8 p.m. on October 14, 2016, at Rob Fleming Park, 6055 Creekside Forest Drive, The Woodlands, 77389. The whole family is welcome and children are encouraged to bring treat bags out to the park for a spooktacular evening of live performances, photo zones, games, inflatables and more. The evening wraps up with a movie in the park that begins at 8 p.m. Stage performances and movie are appropriate for all age groups and are free. Games and concessions are available for a fee.

The Haunted Trail
Also, an annual tradition for the last 13 years, The Haunted Trail takes place again at Bear Branch Park, 5310 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands 77381, from 8 to 10 p.m. on Fridays, October 21 and 28, and Saturdays, October 15, 22 and 29, 2016. This year’s theme is Trail of Treachery: The Cursed Wood. Come experience The Cursed Wood and see if you can make it out of the bone-chilling Trail of Treachery. The Haunted Trail is recommended for children ages 9 and older. Admission is $8 per person and entry ticket sales stop at 9:30 p.m.

Trick or Treat Trail
On Sunday, October 23, 2016, families are invited to bring their princesses, pirates, ghosts and goblins to Town Green Park from 3 to 6 p.m. for the annual Trick or Treat Trail, presented by Wells Fargo. More than 30 local vendors will be handing out goodies to trick-or-treaters, and attendees will also enjoy the great strolling entertainment, inflatables, games, costume contests and more that are featured at this free event.
