IRONKIDS Texas Fun Run Returns to Woodlands Area this Saturday

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The 2022 Children’s Memorial Hermann IRONKIDS Texas Fun Run event is set to take place at Town Green Park in The Woodlands at 8:30 a.m. this Saturday, April 16. The event is open to children and teens ages 1 to 17.

The IRONKIDS Fun Run offers young athletes the opportunity to feel the excitement of competition while enjoying the outdoors and promoting healthy living. The races include a mile run for ages 5 to 17, a half-mile run for ages 3 to 8, and the Toddler Dot Trot, an 80-foot course for independent walkers, ages 1 to 3 years old. Run clubs are also welcome to participate.

In addition to the race events, the park will also have fun activities for families of all ages, including a mingle with mascots featuring Clutch from the Houston Rockets, an obstacle course with games, a photo booth, arts and crafts, ambulance tours, and face-painting. Registration is $20 per child and may be completed at ironman.com/ironkids. You can learn more about the event at memorialhermann.org under classes and events. Each athlete will receive a goodie bag with a race bib, a finisher shirt (artwork pictured), a medal, and the pride of calling themselves an IRONKID. Goodie bags can be picked up from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., April 14 and 15 at The Woodlands Family YMCA, 6145 Shadowbend Place.
