Kailee Mills Foundation presents Compassionate Heart Award to Montgomery County Sheriff Office Deputies

On March 24, 2022, a ceremony took place to present the 2021 Compassionate Heart Award by the Kailee Mills Foundation to the Deputies of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Henderson nominated these Deputies due to the exceptional bravery and compassion displayed by them during a tragic traffic collision that occurred on August 1, 2021.

The Compassionate Heart Award is meant to recognize first responders whose compassionate hearts shined through in moments of distress in the aftermath of a vehicle crash. These first responders restored faith in humanity by going above and beyond what was required of them and transcends their job skill set, whether it was victims, victims’ families, or others at the scene. This also includes the leadership displayed during the event.
