Lilo & Stitch Movie and Dance kicks off 2026 Performing Arts season at The Pavilion
On Friday, June 5, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion kicked off their 2026 Performing Arts Season with the Movie & Dance: Lilo & Stitch with Live Polynesian Dance, a free show and full evening of culture, music and family fun.
The night began with a vibrant performance by local Polynesian dance group My Hula Hut on the Main Stage, bringing the rhythms, traditions and storytelling of the islands to life through movement and music. Then, the audience settled in under the stars to watch the 2025 live-action Lilo & Stitch on the big screens. Before it all began, attendees enjoyed pre-show activities in the plazas, including games, crafts and family-friendly fun that made the show a full evening experience. It was a celebration of storytelling, culture and connection – the perfect night out for families, friends and anyone who believes in a little bit of family magic.

The next Performance Arts event and free show is The Music of Journey with the Houston Symphony Orchestra, scheduled for Wednesday, June 17.
Journey’s music – whether a sing-along smash hit like Don’t Stop Believin’, a soulful serenade like Lights, or a hard rocking anthem like Separate Ways – hits just as hard today as it did when it was released. Giant guitars, ripping synth riffs, searing vocals. It’s a recipe for pure rock and roll glory. The iconic music will be made better, brighter and bolder by the soaring sound of the Houston Symphony on June 17 at The Pavilion. If you’ve seen the Symphony take on classic rock catalogues before, we don’t have to tell you how hard these shows rock. If you haven’t, well… it’s about time you caught up. And at this price point (absolutely, 100% free), you really can’t afford to miss out. Learn more at https://bit.ly/HSOMusicofJourney
