Local Halloween Events 2019

Trick or treating only takes place one night, but Halloween celebrations are happening all month long! There are activities for kids, tweens, teens, adults, and even pets. So put on your costume and head to one of these local events!


October 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26

The Haunting at Bear Branch: Hollywood Horror

Take a walk through the haunted trail and face the most famous horror movie fears. The trail is recommended for ages 9 and up. Call 281-210-3950 or 281-516-7348 to register. Pre-registration is required and purchases must be finalized 24 hours prior to the trail night. No more than 12 to a group.

October 12

Zomball in Tomball

Head to Tomball for the annual Halloween-style event for kids. There will be a monster sized trunk-or-treat, spooky kid friendly attractions, entertainment, a movie under the stars, and more. Admission and parking are free.

October 18

Hocus Pocus Pops

Everyone is gravely encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costume for a chance to walk on stage during the concert. The first 100 boys and “ghouls” to check in at Hocus Pocus Central in the North Plaza, fully costumed, get the chance to march in the Goblin Parade. If you dare, hop onto the Great Pumpkin Express and carve out some great (or gruesome) memories on The Pavilion’s haunted grounds. Train rides begin at 5:30 p.m. in The Pavilion’s Gold Lot. Beware…missing out on this fun night would be a grave mistake!

Halloween at the Y

Join the free family frightful fun featuring trick or treat stops, carnival type games, face painting and more. Admission is free with a non-perishable donation for the local food pantry. This is a community event so be sure to bring a friend and wear your costumes!

Into the Woods Halloween Party

Join The Woodlands Charities on October 19th for the annual Halloween costume party, serving generous delectable bites & hocus pocus drinks, a live band, wine pull, fortune tellers, photo booth, costume contest and entertaining games, benefiting the Assistance League of Montgomery County.​ Purchase tickets at https://thewoodlandscharities.ejoinme.org/2019Halloween.

Halloween Workshop with Legos

Build spooky ghosts and other moving decorations, learning about gear drives and other engineering concepts along the way. With tens of thousands of LEGO bricks, everyone’s Halloween display will be amazing.

City of Conroe Trick or Treat Trail

Join the City of Conroe Parks and Recreation and local area businesses for the 10th Annual Trick or Treat Trail at Carl Barton, Jr. Park. The trail will open promptly at 3:00 p.m. and will remain open until 6:00 p.m. The entrance will close at 6:00 p.m. sharp, even if people are still in line. There will be inflatables for the kids to play on. Concessions will have fees. Costumes are encouraged. At 7:15 p.m., there will be a showing of How to Train your Dragon in the woods!

October 25

Howl at The Moon at The Westin

Come dressed in your best costume, and sing and dance to your favorite songs from 8:00 – 11:00 p.m. The best costume will receive a $50 gift certificate to use in Como Social Club & Sorriso Italian Kitchen.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with food and drinks available for purchase. Limited seating available.

Glade Witch Project

The Glade Witch Project, the 2nd annual Halloween costume party at Glade, features a costume contest with a best costume prize, and a live DJ playing spooky tunes. Watch the witch fly with an aerialist performance. Enjoy a full bar, handcrafted cocktails, and complimentary jello shots.

Tandem Trick or Treat Kayaking

Start at Riva Row and travel around the Waterway and Lake Woodlands to visit a few stops collecting Halloween treats from boat house staff. Kids in costumes will get an extra treat after the event. One tandem kayak is included; all additional boats at regular price. Pre-registration is required. This event is open to all ages; but recommended for 10 and under.

Halloween ComicFest

Spooks and Specters mark your calendars for Halloween ComicFest! Grab some free comics and candy and be sure to check out the Halloween-themed comic section for scary good reads. Register for the Comicfest Costume Contest now through the 26th.

Howl-o-Ween Festival Benefitting Operation Pets Alive

It’s going to be a howlin’ good time Saturday, October 26, at Ellipse Park as the East Shore community hosts a Howl-O-Ween Festival to support OPA’s life-saving work with homeless pets of Montgomery County.

Ellipse Park will be transformed into a PAWS-itively awesome, free-admission, fall festival open to all residents of East Shore and nearby communities.

There will be live music and entertainment, a car show, pet vendors galore, food trucks, bake sale, family games, fun activities for kiddos, dog agility demos, pet costume parade/contest, silent auction, a mega-raffle, and so much more for families and pets to enjoy!

Trick or Treat in Old Town Spring

This is Old Town Spring’s 4th annual trick or treating event! Bring your kids to this family friendly FREE event. The shop owners will be passing out candy to little trick or treaters. So get dressed up and get some extra use out of that costume in Old Town Spring!

Brews & BOOS Halloween Bash

Brews & BOOS will be a spooktacular time for the whole family! And of course, 50 craft beer options on tap!

Trick or Treat Trail

Princesses, pirates, ghosts and goblins don their costumes and enjoy a spooktacuIar celebration at the annual community favorite Trick or Treat Trail. While at the event, children have the opportunity to trick or treat from booth to booth and fill their bags with goodies from more than 30 local vendors. Plus, the free event includes great strolling entertainment, inflatables, games, costume contests, and more. Concessions available for purchase.

Halloween with Sawdust Road

Take a break from trick or treating and enjoy a night of fun and frolic as the Sawdust Road band brings its feel good music to the Tomball VFW Post 2427. Come in costume and prepare to have a good time.

October 30

Goosebumps Halloween Ghost Walk

Join your costumed tour guide on a spooky lantern lit haunted walk while hunting for ghosts along the way. Hear tales of why the ghosts love this old town so much they will never leave. Free raffle, giveaways, candy, and a prize for best costume. Ghost hunting equipment included in price.

October 31

Spooktacular at The Woodlands Children’s Museum

The little ones can enjoy spooky games, face painting, science experiments, Monster Mash Boogie Bash, Tom’s Fun Band, Splat the Cat, Professor Hughdini Magic, and Spooky Songs with Gabe. Due to the monstrous popularity of the annual Halloween celebration at The Woodlands Children’s Museum, the museum will continue to offer its annual SpookTacular activities until 6:00 p.m, one hour past the museum’s normal closing time.

SpookTacular, designed for children ages 7 and younger, features games, entertainment and special prizes with all of the fun of Halloween and none of the scares, The museum will be open for SpookTacular only, and children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

Monster Mash Trick or Treat Stop

The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park is open and celebrating Halloween this year for a free family Halloween event. Activities include trick or treating with dressed-up recreation staff, inflatables, games, crafts, costume contests and more! It will be a spooktacular time, so be sure to put The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park on your Trick or Treat route this Halloween! Concessions available for purchase.
