Veterans Day 2024 Events
November 4, 2024 – Habitat for Heroes – Join Habitat for Humanity in supporting local veteran and first responder families through the 7th Annual Habitat for Heroes Fundraiser benefiting the Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County Veterans Build Program. Enjoy complimentary libations and lite bites at an elegant, cocktail style event. Guests are encouraged to come adorned in red, white and blue cocktail attire. Opportunities to “Honor your Hero” and to be a part of the “Friends of the Brave” alliance give you an opportunity to make an even bigger impact. Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm. November 9, 2024 – 22 for 22 Veterans Day Run – Join the Mighty Oaks Foundation for the 2nd annual 22 for 22 Veterans Day Run including a 5k and 10k. Whether you’re an experienced runner or a novice, all are welcome to participate. The nonprofit’s mission is to come together as a community and shine light on the epidemic of Veteran suicide, ensuring that no Veteran has to fight alone. November 9, 2024 – 1st Annual Woodforest Veterans Day Ruck/Walk – Join Woodforest for a weekend ruck/walk honoring veterans on Saturday, November 9th kicking off at the Beerforest patio. Whether you wear a ruck pack, a weighted vest, or simple show up as you are, this hike is casual and inclusive of all fitness levels. Time: 9:00am. November 11, 2024 – The Woodlands Township Veterans Day Tribute – You are invited to The Woodlands Township Veterans Day Tribute featuring a presentation of colors, musical performances, remarks by local dignitaries, a Village troop donation challenge and more. A Care Package Drop Off will be onsite throughout the event to accept donations of recommended items to be shipped to the troops. November 11, 2024 – Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park Veterans Day Observance – On Veterans Day, the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission will show appreciation for our Veterans with musical presentations, guest speakers and the dedication of “THE LINE.” Covered parking and seating is provided. Parking will be located across the street at the Park & Ride Lot, and overflow parking will be at 100 I-45 N, Conroe TX 77301. Time: 9:00am.
