Montgomery County Food Bank to Host Clay Tournament to “Shootout Hunger”

By  |

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The 7th annual “Shootout Hunger” shooting clays tournament benefiting the Montgomery County Food Bank is set for September 13, 2019 at Ables Gun Club in Huntsville, Texas.

Presented by Cowboy Kia in Conroe, this popular event is the perfect way to enjoy an exciting day of clay shooting and networking at a premier shooting range while supporting a great cause.

Experienced shooters and novices are encouraged to attend. Teams and individual registrations are now open and sponsorships are still available. Early sign-up is encouraged as last year’s tournament sold out.

“We are excited to announce this year’s Shootout Hunger Clay tournament,” said Allison Hulett, President & CEO of Montgomery County Food Bank. “Last year we raised over $92,000 and we anticipated exceeding that amount this year through increased participation and sponsorships. For every dollar raised, we are able to provide five meals to our neighbors in need and we are currently serving more than 25,000 people each month. Fundraising events like this help us fight hunger and feed hope.”

The Food Bank also hosts mobile food distributions, offers nutritional education programs, emergency assistance in the time of a disaster or crisis, and provides meal programs for children and senior citizens.
