Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office partners with TxDOT in Intoxicated Driver Mobilization enforcement Aug. 14-Sept. 7

By  |

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), is participating in the Intoxicated Driver Mobilization enforcement, a statewide initiative running from August 14th through September 7th. This campaign focuses on reducing impaired driving and reminding motorists to never drive under the influence.

Impaired driving continues to be a major contributor to deadly crashes in Montgomery County. Recent county data shows that nearly one in three fatal collisions involves a driver under the influence, and even a small amount of alcohol or drugs can slow reaction time and cloud judgment. A single poor choice can have life‑changing consequences.

During the enforcement period, additional MCSO deputies will be out in greater numbers, increasing patrols and focusing on impaired‑driving violations to help prevent tragedies before they happen.

Your decisions behind the wheel impact everyone on the road. Do your part to keep Montgomery County safe – choose to drive sober, every time.
