Performing Arts Nonprofit The Woodlands Diversion Announces Opening Night Experience

By  |

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Diversion recently announced its inception and opening concert. The Woodlands Diversion is a performing arts organization, founded in 2023 with the purpose of enhancing the performing arts culture of our community – the Woodlands and surrounding areas – by presenting immersive and diverse collaborative arts performances, which we call, “experiences.” These experiences feature combinations of art mediums, such as: classical music and dance/movement, soundscapes and film, music interspersed with dramatic arts, plus, various forms of visual arts. For us, our passion extends far beyond entertaining our audiences. Our goal is to engage, captivate, and inspire them. Ultimately, we want to create lifetime memories for everyone.

“The Woodlands Diversion was created to enrich and enhance our community through the performing arts. TWD is a place where anyone can experience the profound beauty of art expressed through music, dance, poetry, dramatic arts, AND visual arts; regardless of age of socioeconomic status,” said Matt Everett, Founder, The Woodlands Diversion.

[UPDATE: This event has been postponed as of October 24, 2023] On November 4, 2023, our first experience is called Boheme. In the arts, those who make history are always unique individuals…they typically march to the beat of a different drum. They push the boundaries of convention and their ideas, at times, are regarded as unorthodox by their peers. However, these are the artists who influence culture and make history. Boheme is about celebrating those artists and their work. So, come join us on November 4th at 7:00 pm at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Event Center, as we present a program of uniquely beautiful music, riveting dance, and mesmerizing projection art. Boheme is sure to be an experience quite unlike anything else; it will be one that you’ll remember forever.
