Registration Opens for 2017 Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas

The annual Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas event will take place Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Market Street in The Woodlands, and registration for the multi-faceted event is currently open. Easily one of the most popular events in the community, this race includes a USA Track and Field (USATF) certified 10-mile course, the One 4 Texas Kid’s Fun Run, and new this year, the 3.1 Armadillo Run, a 5K race for many other casual runners to participate in.

“This event has always been a great opportunity for runners of all levels to get together and enjoy a great time,” explains Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation for The Woodlands Township Angel Nicks. “A lot of the runners were introduced to this event by a friend, and this new 5K race should be really popular for those who enjoy a shorter race but still want to participate.”

Early registration for the USATF-sanctioned race is strongly encouraged, as openings for the event fill quickly. The number of participants in all three races is capped to ensure runner comfort and safety. Race day registration will not be available if the race is sold out. The registration fee is $70 for the 10 for Texas, $55 for the 3.1 Armadillo Run and $35 for the One 4 Texas Kids’ Fun Run. The fee is an additional $5 on race day for any openings still available.
