Sheriff’s Office identifies Suspect in Willis ISD Social Media Threats

By  |

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office wishes to update the community regarding the recent threats made against Willis High School, Brabham Middle School, and Lynn Lucas Middle School. The individual responsible has been identified as a 13-year-old student from Lynn Lucas Middle School. The child had no access to firearms, and the student’s parent is fully cooperating with law enforcement. The student will face charges of making a terroristic threat, a 3rd-degree felony.

The student admitted to law enforcement as being the one who made the threats via SnapChat, though the motive behind the threats is still unknown. The investigation remains ongoing. We want to emphasize that any threats of violence are taken with the utmost seriousness. Such actions are not jokes and will result in full legal consequences to ensure accountability and maintain the safety of our schools.

We are deeply grateful to the students, families, educators, and the entire Willis ISD community for their cooperation and patience throughout this situation. Your support and involvement were instrumental in helping us address this matter quickly and effectively.

The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and schools is always our highest priority. We remain committed to taking all necessary precautions to ensure a secure environment for learning.

Thank you for your continued trust and collaboration as we work together to keep our schools safe.
