Shootout Hunger Tournament funds nearly 600,000 meals for neighbors in need
Montgomery County Food Bank hosted its 12th annual Shootout Hunger sporting clays tournament, presented by Cowboy Kia, on September 12, 2024, at Blackwood Sporting Co. in Conroe. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, participants, and the community, the event will help provide nearly 600,000 meals for hungry children, families, and seniors in Montgomery County. With Montgomery County Food Bank’s sourcing and buying power, every dollar raised helps provide up to four meals for those in need.
More than 150 shooters took part in the day’s competition. Top sponsors, including Cowboy Kia, H-E-B, and Southwestern Energy, played a key role in the event’s success, ensuring the Food Bank continues to meet the growing need for food assistance in the community.
The event wasn’t just about competition; participants enjoyed a sense of camaraderie while contributing to a cause that directly supports their neighbors. A day full of activities, the tournament also featured breakfast, lunch, raffle prizes, and an awards ceremony recognizing top shooters.
