The First Halloween is the Sweetest at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center

By  |

Some of the tiniest patients at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center experienced their very first Halloween costume – and it’s a real treat for the eyes!

The Richard Rivas, MD Neonatal ICU (NICU) staff enjoyed creating memorable moments for the NICU patient families by helping them dress up their newborn babies in hand-crafted costumes including a candy corn, lady bug, bumble bee, hula girl, Pac Man and Disney characters for this fall holiday.

Parent and family bonding with all babies, especially more fragile ones like in the NICU, is an essential part of healthy healing and growing. This is just a heart-warming part of their NICU journey to graduation home.
